Hi, well the end of my first week back at work is here. I am tired. No, I am exhausted. I forgot how hard it is to be a working mom. I need to find my groove again for all our sakes. The kids are tired too. They got to bed late a lot this week. I have had extra patience because they deserve this. They were very excited for mommy to go to work but I think they thought nothing would change. Well...they were in for a rude awakening now weren't they ;).
Anyhow, I love my job! Let me say that again...I LOVE MY JOB! It's fun. It's pretty dang simple and I am pretty much alone when I do it and I like that. It's an odd kind of freedom. I just have to learn to not put so much pressure on myself. I hate leaving things undone and I like everything done yesterday. I am working on that perfectionist part of me. I know that I can't possibly get everything done right away.
The kids had a great week. Faith started Earth Kids. This is a fun afterschool program where they learn about ways to help the earth. She chose the gardening portion of this club and spend Wednesday afternoon weeding a tomato garden and picking the tomatos for us to make Fried Green Tomatos. I am hoping to get to them tomorrow. She has also made huge strides in her reading this year. She is just blowing me away with the words she can spell. It's her new favorite thing to do in the car. She makes us give her words and we are NOT allowed to help her sound them out. She gets very mad if you do.
Brycen just started learning about the continent of Africa. He is doing a project of the animals of Egypt (which is on the continent of Africa for those like me who didn't know that.) Animals are Brycen's specialty. He knows so much about them. He's like a walking dictionary of animals! lol
Trevor is preparing for a play on the different regions of Music! I think it will be pretty cool. Trevor's part has to do with Billy Ray Cyrus and the Achy Breaky Heart! :) Now I will sing it in my head all night!
Well that's about it. I am too tired to load pictures right now. I have Christmas crafts to get done. I will try to post tomorrow (and yes, I know I keep saying that ;) )
