"our" baby is growing up

Well I have sat here for the last 3 days trying to upload photos of him (that I borrowed from his care page) but to no avail blogger just doesn't want to work.

Ethan turned 3 Saturday he'sl growing too fast for anyones liking. He is so animated and talks up a storm now. I had this conversation with him the other night over the phone:

Me: HI E!
E: HI Auntie!
Me: What do you want for your birthday?
E: TRUCKS!
Me: What kind of trucks?
E: um....purple ones.
ME: What kind of purple ones?
E: um....a dump truck
Me: Just a dump truck
E: no. I want a.....a....
Me: How about a back hoe
E: yeah that!
Me: What else do you want?
E: A Bucket
ME: A bucket?
E: yeah
Me: what do want a bucket for?
E: I want dirt in the bucket
ME: you want a bucket of dirt and a truck?
E: yeah
ME: where are you going to keep the bucket of dirt?
E: (with a totally exasperated tone) in MOM'S HOUSE!

Then yesterday I called to wish him a Happy Birthday and I had this conversation:

Me: Hi E
E: Hi Auntie
me: Happy Birthday!!!!
E: Happy Birthday too!!!
me: Are you having cake today
E: Blue cupcakes
me: ooooh....will you save me a blue cupcake?:
E: No, you can have lellow!
Me: What are you having on your cake?
E: (with same exasperated tone that is preceded with a big sigh) CANDLES!

He is too funny for words. The voice fluctuations, the excitement and the exasperation he puts in his conversations cracks me up. Right now he must think I am just dumb as a rock! lol

I will be making him a Truck cake for his birthday party next weekend. We are going to Shaw's to get the same Trucks he picked for his cake today. FYI for those that don't know.....Shaw's sells the decorations for ALL their cakes for $6!!! It's a good deal! Because if you get a cake with it they charge you about $27 total. I can make a cake for $3 so it will save my sister some money considering they are doing Sami's b-day the same day.

Well I have to go play my Grocery game.

Ethan, I love you very much and please try to not grow too, too fast. I am going to have to spend more time with G and Z to get my baby fixes now! :) Unless of course, my sister hits the lottery.....because she says that is the only way she will have another! ;)
