his name is "I didn't". He is elusive. He wreaks all kinds of havoc in my house. He uses full bottles of shampoo in 2 days, he leaves mud all over the bathroom floor, toothpaste all over the bathroom sink, he covers the swings with mud, leaves freeze pop wrappers everywhere, he never closes the screen door so that we get inundated with fly's (ICK!), he leaves huge messes in the kitchen after searching for a snack and he leave socks EVERYWHERE. This is the short list. There is so much more that "I didn't" has done.
I have really had it with "I didn't". In fact, the children have been warned that if "I didn't" doesn't stop making appearances that we won't be doing much of anything except sitting in our rooms and that makes for a very long summer.
I am thinking if I could just find "I didn't" in the act then my problems would be solved. So I have removed the toothpaste and the shampoo from the bathroom. All children will have to ask for some at night. Freeze pops will be a thing of the past, the hose will only be allowed if I feel like sitting in the backyard instead of gardening in the patio area and all socks will now be confiscated and when they don't have any for gym then maybe just maybe "I didn't" will disappear for good.
I learned from the master how to get to my children. I am taking one more from her book and applying it beginning tonight. Because as far as I am concerned if I don't ever hear "I didn't" for the rest of my life I will be a very happy momma!
