Random Cheery

I thought some random cheery was in order. It was a rough week and cheery is always good. So here are my 3 crazies. They are fun. They make me laugh and they keep me on my toes. This was the 1st day of school. They were very excited to go back!



Yard Sales. We love them. I love finding good stuff cheap. I am very frugal and I while I have a hard time bartering for most things I don't at a yard sale. The point of a yard stuff is to get good stuff cheap.

As I was driving Ray to work this morning we encountered this yardsale at the top of our street. It was full of goodies. We didn't have time to stop but Faith and I hit it on the way back. I found these suckers out back. The first guy I talked to wanted $150 for these 3, a dresser and a headboard. I laughed at him. He called the guy over who was doing the yard sale. I asked if they would break the 5 pieces up and if so how much for the 3 of these. He told me $35 for ALL of them!!!! I jumped on it. That is a really, really good deal!!!! These are going to work in my soon to be new scrapbook room. We have no money to do this so for $35 and all this storage it was a deal I couldn't pass. They will go awesome with the FREE kitchen cabinets I got!!!


While I normally don't bring my scrapbooking to this blog I have to this time. A dear friend of mine, who is huge in the scrapbooking world, has rounded up a bunch of scrapbookers to create Cards for Heros. You can read more about it HERE and HERE.
It's a great cause and it makes me feel good to do something for these soldiers. If you have any spare cards lying around or if you want to grab some paper and a pen I would gladly come pick them up. They don't have to be handmade. Most of these soldiers can't get their hands on cards to send home for the holidays. Some soliders get very little mail. I am making cards for them to send home to their loved ones and then I am making some for the soldiers themselves. The holidays are fast approaching and it's my way of giving.

OH, BTW...Aunt Carol and Dad, in case I don't get to call, the Dr. just prescribed me some Lidocaine bandages (Lidoderm) (like Novacaine). You can place up to 3 on you at one time. I didn't think they would work but I put ONE on my hip last night and it's numbed 3/4's of my pain. It's worth asking about. I am going to try one more on my back today. They are 12 hrs on/12 hrs off.
