I'm back and Halloween

Well I am back in the blogging world. I have decided that I need to keep it all in one place as so many people ask for updates. It's easier than having to type a bunch of e-mails! It's rather bland but I am in no shape to fix it today (my back is really bad this week)

Well Halloween in Salem is OVER. THANK GOD!!! I am just not a Halloween person. I love doing things for the kids, making their costumes, taking them Trick or Treating, watching them dig through their bag-o-goods and handing out candy to the sweet little children that make their way to our door but as far as this city is concerned... I hate it. I can't specify that enough...I HATE HALLOWEEN in the HALLOWED CAPITOL. We get them all, the crazies, the drunks, the half dressed girls who believe that a bra and a g-string are a halloween costume. It's bad. The traffic, the noise, the sirens that blare well into the wee hours of the morning. I hate Halloween.

Last night I had a run-in with a Cheech Marin wanna be. He was driving a Cheech and Chong bong mobile and was really upset when I told him he could not park his Dooby mobile in front of my house. We have no off street parking. He was in our son's parking space. We got into a huge "discussion". He tried to tell me it was his money that was paying our taxes. I laughed right at him. I explained that the only thing he was paying for was alcohol tonight and the city would not see that profit then I explained that I will have his car towed. It's residential parking. He told me he was going to ask a police officer if that was true. I told him to go right ahead...I'd even dial for him. His girlfriend looked panic stricken and they drove away! It was a good choice on their part ;) . I hate to be like that. It's not my nature to be mean intentionally but there is nothing worse than being woken up at 3:00 by a bunch of drunken idiots outside your bedroom window and more so because Faith is still in with us most nights.

We checked the newspaper onlinethis morning and it looks like 2 people were stabbed last night. It makes me so sad. :( :( :( I haven't read it in full. I am hoping to find some good stories too but I heard more sirens last night than I have heard in the 13 years that I have lived here. :(

On a happy note. I had some of the cutest little gobblins last night. Trevor and Faith changed their minds 1000 times about what they wanted to be this year. They both decided against the Wizard of Oz costumes that I had made them for the parade.

Trevor's class did the annual wax museum yesterday and it was awesome as always. He had some great poses and I love to watch the other classes come through and check them out. It amazes me that 8 and 9 yr olds can hold those poses for so long. They do look like wax statues!
I spent the better part of this week making Brycen's costume. I did that hat without a pattern or anything. I also couldn't find the colors he wanted by the yard so I was reduced to squares of felt. I had to stitch 4 squares together to get the hat made. I am pretty proud of it!

Brenden went as Jonathan Papplebon after they won a place in the playoffs! It was rather humorous! Dave, his best bud, was Ice Man from Top Gun!

The Goods!!!! The candy fills my Stock Pot. This pot is huge. It holds more than a family of 7 can eat in 4 meals. I usually get months worth of sauce out of this pot. We will be donating some candy to daddy's work! Mommy's doing so good losing weight. The recees cups with be her doom though ;)

My little Harry. He looks just like him. It cracks me up! :) Well that's all for now. My back is horrible today. I can't walk, I can't drive, I can barely sit. I am off to bed until the kiddos come home from school. Hugs to you all! :)
