Anyhow, I am here. I spent the better part of Saturday night into Sunday morning working on this:

I picked up the tree at Starbucks and altered it with my scrapbook supplies. The kids love it and when you pull the box out to get the decandent chocolate treat you then place it in backwards and it creates a cool winter scene (Starbucks work not mine). They loved it. I am making one to sell at the Craft Fair this coming weekend. Say a small prayer that I sell everything. It will help tremendously towards Christmas if I do and will take away some of that worry.
On other fronts....Trev went and had his follow-up pneumonia check today and he was free and clear. It was GREAT NEWS! Faith had her physical at the same time. She is in the 50lb range now!!! YEAH! We have been trapped in the 40's forever. She is 75% for height and 50% for weight. She grew 4 1/2 inches since her last physical. She also got her flu vaccine today. She had opted for the nasal spray (which is a LIVE vaccine) over the shot which is dead. The Dr. let her have her choice and I was good with it. After they gave it to her I had a moments panic and wondered if she could react to this. New meds and Faith are a scary combination. The nurse told me that if she didn't have an allergy to eggs not to worry. I told her that's not the case with Faith that she is NOT allergic to eggs but is allergic to the MMR shot which contains eggs. But she did do fine with the FLU shot in the allergist office. She has had the FLU shot TWICE before. She told me the chance of her reacting was rare. I felt better and left.
We got outside and Faith bent over to get a snowball to throw at Trevor at the same time he got one and went to throw it at her bum. She turned and he hit her right in the face. She's fine but she was upset at the moment. We swung by work to see Ray for a minute and when she got of the van she was bent down and I noticed red near her eye I called her to stand up and she whipped her head up and I FREAKED. Her whole face was starting to swell. It was all blotchy and BOTH her eyes were swollen. She was getting worse as I stood there looking at her. I grabbed her and ran inside to the phone and called the Dr.'s office. Sure enough, she reacted to the shot. My gut instinct scares me sometimes. It's so ON-the-spot when it comes to my kids. We had to run next door to Walmart to get Benedryl ASAP. I left her EPI pen at home. I had no idea she would be receiving meds today. I couldn't find the Benedryl at Walmart....only the pills not the liquid. The pharmasist saw us and instantly came over to help. They even gave us a medicine dropper so that she could have it because I was ready to just guess and pour it down her throat. She was starting to cry because her eyes hurt and she was looking really bad by then.
Within minutes of the Benedryl she started looking better. We picked up Ray and he drove us home. She fell asleep before we got here and she looked a little better by the time he plunked her on the couch. She is up and just starting to behave like her. She says she doesn't feel good but I am guessing it's the flu virus and the blotches are coming back a little but she is due for Benedryl again soon.
Soooo...that's our day and it's only MONDAY!!! On a better note....I go to Mass General for my back tomorrow. YEAH!!! I couldn't even walk last night. I had gone grocery shopping and that really is a hard task for me with my back. Faith was a huge help and I was so glad she was there because I could barely walk by the time we left. I layed down all night and Ray, that wonderful man of mine, took care of everything. I am sore today but not as bad as yesterday. I hope they can fix this. I am putting a lot of hope into tomorrows visit. Say a small prayer for me that they can do something. I am tired of muscle relaxers and pain meds. I am so tired of being tired. I want my life back. Hopefully, hopfully tomorrow......
Until then... :) :) Have a wonderful week
